We look forward to seeing you soon! Please help us make your visit more efficient by following these guidelines:
Bring any imaging studies on CD
Dr. May prefers to personally review imaging studies (X-rays, MRIs, etc.), not just the written reports. If you have been to an urgent care, ER, or imaging center, please request a CD of your studies and bring it with you. Radiology reports are helpful, but we can typically obtain them with your consent. If your imaging was done at a Memorial Hermann facility, we can access it electronically. If you don’t bring prior imaging, we may need to repeat it.
Wear or bring appropriate clothing
For back or lower extremity (hip, thigh, knee, leg, ankle) issues: Pleas wear or bring shorts and athletic shoes so we can assess movement and gait. Avoid flip-flops or Crocs.
For walking/gait concerns: Please wear or bring shorts.
For upper extremity (shoulder, arm, elbow) concerns: Pleas wear or bring a short-sleeve shirt or tank top.
For scoliosis: Please wear a t-shirt/tank top and shorts.
Bring a list of current medications
Arrive at least 15 minutes early - This allows time to complete any necessary paperwork before your appointment.
-
In order to give you the best information on your condition, Dr. May would like to review the images herself, not just the report. If you have been to an urgent care, emergency room or other imaging center and they have not given you a CD, you can request it and pick it up to bring to your appointment. They will not send it to us. Bringing the radiologist’s report is helpful, but we can usually get it faxed to us with your written consent. If your imaging has been done at a Memorial Hermann facility, we can access it through their system. If you do not bring previous imaging, we will likely need to repeat it.
